• No one in loan production can select, retain, influence or recommend an appraiser.

• Lenders are required to perform quality control testing on a randomly selected 10% of appraisals.

 • Lenders must notify appraisers and borrowers of the Independent Valuation Protection Institute (IVPI), including a hotline for complaints of AIR noncompliance.
